WHAT DOCUMENTATION DO I NEED IF I AM RETURNING TO WORK UNDER ALERT LEVEL 3?

To return to work under Alert Level 3 you do not require a permit unless you are travelling between provinces, or need to be outside your house for work purposes after curfew.

PERMIT TO PERFORM AN ESSENTIAL OR PERMITTED SERVICE (FORM 2 ANNEXURE A)

  • If you are travelling between provinces in the course of work permitted under Alert Level 3, you will need to show a permit to perform a permitted or essential service (click here to download a template).
  • If you need to be outside your place of residence between 9pm and 4am to perform a service permitted under Alert Level 3.

 

WHO CAN FILL IN FORM 2?

This form is to be completed by the head of an institution (or a person designated by him or her).

“Head of institution” is defined by the Regulations as the accounting officer of a public institution and the chief executive officer or the equivalent of a chief executive officer of a private institution.

“Institution” means any public or private institution, including a sole practitioner and any other business owned and operated by a single person.

Form 2 may be signed by the head of a small business in respect of employees, and in the case of a sole proprietor, by him or herself.

The carrier of the Permit must ensure to keep identification ready at all times.

 

DO I NEED A CIPC CERTIFICATE?

  • You will no longer require a Certificate from the CIPC.

 

As set out in the Disaster Management Regulations issued on 29 April 2020, as amended on 28 May, 25 June 2020, and 12 July 2020, and the Small Business Development Directions of 12 May 2020.
