What are the curfew hours and closing times under Adjusted Alert Level 3?

There is a curfew from 9pm to 5am under Adjusted Alert Level 3, during which time everybody needs to be at their place of residence. You are allowed to be outside of your residence during curfew if you have a permit to perform a permitted service (click here to download a permit template), or if you are attending to a security or medical emergency.

Closing Time for Establishments

The following establishments, whether indoors or outdoors, need to close by 8pm:

  • Cinemas;
  • Theatres;
  • Casinos;
  • Museums, galleries and archives;
  • Gyms and fitness centres;
  • Restaurants;
  • Venues hosting auctions; and
  • Venues hosting professional sport.

At the moment, the same curfew and closing times apply in hotspot and non-hotspot areas.
