If your business is performing and essential service, what documentation does your staff need to continue working?

Anybody that is permitted to work outside their home under Alert Level 4 must carry a “Permit to Perform an Essential or Permitted Service” (click here to download), issued by the head of the company or institution. This permit must always be accompanied by identification.

Ensure that you are using a permit issued on or after 1 May 2020.

As an extra precaution, it is recommended that institutions use an official stamp and/ or unique features that would make forgery more difficult and that photocopies be avoided. The carrier of the Permit must ensure to keep identification ready at all times.

This is set out in the Disaster Management Regulations issued on 29 April 2020, available here.
